MAPEX EXCLUSIVE DRUM PROVIDER FOR EMERGENZA FESTIVAL

Since 1991, Mapex has been providing drum sets for the annual worldwide Emergenza festival. Not familiar with Emergenza? It’s the world’s largest series of unsigned band competitions.

Emergenza held its first competition in Rome in 1992 in front of a crowd of 250 people. Over the years, Emergenza grew to host band competitions in ten major European countries in 1998.

In 1999, the Emergenza festival expanded to North America and the 2005 schedule boasts competitions in seventeen North American cities. Over 1,100 live shows with 4,500 bands participated in Emergenza festivals in 2004.

Mapex is Emergenza’s exclusive supplier of drums and provides drum sets for bands performing on stage in the host cities. Mapex also provides Pro M drum sets as prizes for winners of the competition.
Emergenza 2005 has been holding regional competitions since January and will hold it’s national finals in June. Unsigned bands get a tremendous opportunity to perform live in major venues across the country, gain experience with the press and with larger audiences, and have a chance to go to the world finals in Germany in August.
