MAPEX major sponsor of the 6th round of W:O:A Metal Battle 2009

After the end of the Metal Battle 2008, which saw "THE FADING" from Israel coming off as winners, the Metal Battle now goes into the next round. And from now on, W:O:A is powered by MAPEX.

MAPEX, young and creative branch, replied positively few months ago to the invitation of W:O:A Metal Battle to join the major sponsors of the “Cult Metal Festival”: “We like the way they promote it, it's real, tangible, more comprehensive and it's focused on Performance, which is as the MAPEX tagline. The Metal Battle is not only turned on the lead singer or the drummer but this is all about the band. It deals with the spirit of a band, of a festival … that’s why MAPEX agreed to support the Metal Battle”.

As a manufacturer of drums, MAPEX handles all the products, “they do not have to be worried about anything regarding the gears and hardware, organizers only have to be focused on the performance and the show. We take care of the rest”.

Quality is the main preoccupation of MAPEX R&D team “W:O:A has been looking for reliable and solid products, in particular solid hardware.”

Since the beginning in 2004 W:O:A Metal Battle increased to the biggest talent contest for any type of Metal Bands. This year the festival is proud to present new countries taking part. Beneath the 16 already established countries, Spain, Ireland and Iceland will also go into the battle. USA, Canada and Hungary are in negotiation. Winning bands from Germany, Brazil and this years champion from Israel prove that there is a huge amount of highly talented metal bands worldwide that can easily compete with the already established ones.

2 x 22 x 20 Bass drum, 10 x 8 Tom Tom, 12 x 9 Tom Tom, 16 x 16 Floor tom, 18 x 16 Floor tom, 14 x 7 Snare drum, Hardware: MAPEX 750 series Pedal & Hi – Hat, MAPEX 550 Series Stands. (No Cymbals included)

This year, the international final will take place at the W.E.T Stage at W:O:A 09 from July 31st to August 2nd.
