MAPEX well-represented at the 2008 Latin Grammys: Juanes with Waldo Madera and Rashid Williams with John Legend

MAPEX Latin artist Waldo Madera is drumming with Colombia singer song writer Juanes since 2004. Juanes was nominated by Latin Grammy for 5 different categories on September 10th 2008. Last Thursday, Nov 13th winners were announced. Juanes was the night’s biggest winner. He swept all five categories in which he was nominated, winning 5 awards including Record of the year, Album of the year and song of the year.

The 9th Annual Latin Grammy Awards which took place on November 13th , 2008 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and were aired live on Univision. Juanes was invited to perform at that night and kicked off the show with the song If You Are Out There with John Legend. A bilingual song that featured the Lakewood Church Spanish-language choir. This song should be released as a single pretty soon as Legend said. They were well-acclaimed by the crowd. The show was viewed by about 64 million people in USA and Latin American. A great audience!
