Adam Czerwiski
Born in 1965, Adam began playing vibraphone at the age of 15 and then began drumming. He recorded for Polish Radio and in 1986 Janusz Muniak asked him to play with his group. Adam has Cooperated with the best Polish jazz musicians like Jan Ptaszyn Wroblewski, Janusz Muniak, Tomek Szukalski, Leszek Kulakowski.
Since 1993 he has been playing in the Jarek Smietana Quartet and with the Quartet has taken part in numerous international projects including a CD with John Abercrombie, playing with Gary Bartz, and numerous tours and recording sessions in Europe, USA, Canada, Mexico and Kuwait.
Adam has recorded over thirty CDs as a sideman and his musical collaborators include Carter Jefferson, Eddie Henderson, Garison Fewell, Steve la Spina, Harvie Swartz, Art Farmer, Jean Paul Bourelli, Cameron Brown, Larry Goldings, John Purcell.
In May 2003 Adam recorded his first own CD - “Hollywood Album” with Jarek Smietana, Larry Goldings, Darek Oleszkiewicz and Benny Maupin. Recently he has been cooperating with Nagel Kennedy, taking part in projects like Nigel Kennedy and Friends, Bach meets Miles Davis, Autumn Suite, and The Jimmi Hendrix Experience. He has been performing with Nigel Kennedy in Grosse Freiheit (Hamburg), Columbiahalle (Berlin), Teatro Dal Verme (Milano), Ronnie Scott's and Royal Albert Hall (London).
Soon Adam will be going to New York, to tour with Bennie Wallace. Then it’s off to Switzerland, China and Australia (with N. Kennedy), touring with Ed Schuller, Sigi Finkel and Karen Edwards. |
