Toni Mateos

Toni Mateos is one the most in-demand drummers of recent years, working with numerous international artists: Paul Carrack, Juanes, Miguel Bosé, Ana Torroja (Mecano) and Lou Marini, to name but a few.

He began playing when he was only 15 years old, but soon found himself touring with renowned Spanish artists such as Manuel Carrasco, Soraya, and Gnaposs.

In addition to his rigorous touring schedule, Toni is an extensively experienced recording drum-set artist, with a discography that spans more than 60 CDs in the last 5 years. Pop, rock, funk and jazz bands such as Red House, Antonio Orozco, Alex Ubago, Nena Dacone, La Guardia, Tamara number amongst the established musicians with whom he has collaborated with on a diverse range of creative projects.

Mateos is an active clinician, and his masterclasses are often accompanied by contemporary titans of drumming (such as Benny Greb). He is a regular contributor to magazines and blogs, and his articles and opinions are valued and rated very highly by readers.
