Born in Gyungnam Jin-ju on 7th July 1967, Kim Sun Jung started his musical career by playing drums for his junior high school rock band. After he began building his reputation as a drummer by performing with well-known singers and recording albums as a session drummer.

Kim Sun Jung now tours with the well known singer Cho Yong-pill, performing at the World Cup stadiums all around Korea. He continues to give lectures at “Han-seo University, Chunnam University and Seoul Art High School. As a session drummer, he has recorded over 1500 songs with over 150 different singers in Korea.

1986 Performed in a rock band called “Mudang.”
1987 Played drums for “Lee Sun-hee and Han-gang.”
1989 Performed with “Muse Eros” for 2 years.
1990 Played drums in “Park Jae-chun Band” and released their first album.
1992 Took part in MBC’s wind/string orchestra. Performed with “Cho Yong-pil and the Great Birth” for 2 year.
1994 Performed with “ Lee Seung-chul and the Future”
1996 Performed with “ Lee Seung-hwan and HUMAN.” Formed a band called “Lighting.”
1997 Played live sessions and recorded songs for singers Cho Kwan-woo, Kim Jung-min etc.
1998 Played live sessions with Kim Jung-min, Uptown, Byun Jin-sup, Cho Sung-mo etc.
2000 Participated actively in album recordings and live sessions after the break up of “Lighting.”
2002 Gave lecture at Seoul Digital University.
2004 Lectured at Han-seo University and Namdo University. Performed concert tours with Kim Gun-mo, Park Sang-min, Baek Ji-young, BoA, Fly to the sky, Moon Hee-jun, Kim Hyun-jung, Kang Ta, Cho Yong-pil and the Great Birth. Signed an A grade endorser contract with MEINL. Played concerts with a group called “Kim Sun Jung and friends.”
