Maurice Fonville, mostly known by his peers as "Moe", is from the New Jersey/Philadelphia area and has been playing drums for 22+ years and touring professionally for 14 years. Moe began playing in church at the age of 4. Over time he started branching out and started playing for local groups and choirs until he got in the professional music industry first as a drum-tech. Shortly after, Moe’s touring career as a drummer began with rap artist “Da TRUTH” (Philadelphia, PA), up until may of 2015 where he began touring and recording with current artist "KB" (Tampa, FL). From living in the New Jersey/ Philadelphia area, moving to Atlanta, then to Nashville and now currently residing near Austin, TX, he has continued to expand and work to inspire others through studio session work, programming and show arranging for host of other artist and genres. He’s played genre's including Gospel, Hip-Hop, Country, Pop, R&B, CCM, Fusion Jazz and Alternative Pop. Moe’s faith, work ethic, creativity, willingness to listen and teach, and hunger to learn were the stepping stones to him working and becoming influential locally and around the world. His body of work speaks for itself. Moe has been very blessed. He has a deep passion for seeing people excel and always try to find ways to build, push and encourage others. He comes from a community of great drummers that he still looks up to even today. Moe is honored to be one of the ones that continues to help carry the torch to the next generation of great musicians.
